How to calculate fuel costs & cost per person

For quick estimates, you only need distance (km), consumption (L/100 km) and fuel price ($/L). The calculator also shows average costs per 100 km and the split per person.

Quick formulas

Litres = km × consumption ÷ 100
Fuel cost = litres × price
Per person = total cost ÷ people

The calculator shows “$/100 km” automatically. It’s based on: total cost ÷ distance × 100.

Does it count a round trip or one-way only?

You can do both. Simply enter the kilometres you actually drive (one-way or round trip).

How accurate are toll estimates?

Only roughly. Real costs depend on route, vehicle class and local rules.
